What Our Forefathers Thought.com was created to help inform American Citizens of the countries founding documents to compare them and see why we should restore and protect the US Constitution.

The top navigation bar starts with the Virginia Declaration of Rights and ending with the Bill of Rights. They are in order of the dates in which they were signed.  In each link we begin with our view of the document followed by the actual document.  Please read them and compare them to understand why the founders choose the US Constitution in the end instead of the Virginia Declaration of Rights or The Articles of Confederation. After reading these documents it is our hope that it will help you understand why monarchy, socialism, communism, and anarchy are all the wrong approach which ultimately will always destroy individual liberty, and that the US Constitution protects individual liberty and the rights of everybody individually.

To the left you will find a section called “Forefathers Quotes" these are actual quotes from founders expressing how they felt about monarchy, the right to bear arms, and too much government control.

Also to the left and maybe the most important right now “Democracy or a Republic”. Find out the difference, and why it is important to restore us back to the constitution before it’s too late.

In the recent year, I have heard many people say that the US Constitution and the founders are out dated, old, and what would they know about 2010.  If you look back at history all the other types of government have been tried over and over with just different people in charge and they do not work which is exactly where we are headed today, while they claim that it is new and never been done before, but in the end it is just another dictatorship forming which is what our founders warned about in numerous quotes and writings. The US Constitution works no matter what century we are in if you just read it for what is says, and not interpret it for what you want it to say. Remember individual rights and liberty, not collective rights that is socialism.

" A primary object...should be the education of our youth in the science of government. In a republic, what species of knowldege can be equally important? And what duty more pressing ...than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?" --George Washington
